Home Grown Port Fairy is owned and run by Gunilla and Rob Forbes. With two different passions—one for cooking, the other for growing—they have combined their talents to create this enticing cafe.

At Home Grown, we blend rich Sri Lankan flavors with cafe classics, all served in a warm, community-focused space. Our philosophy centers on using local, ethical produce to create healthy, tasty, and innovative dishes alongside traditional Sri Lankan specials.

We proudly serve organic, fair-trade coffee, organic herbal teas, and house-made sweet treats. Every element of our menu reflects our commitment to quality, sustainability, and bringing the community together. See you in the cafe!

Rob the owner welcomed us with a natural friendliness, service was excellent and the coffee, sweet treat and iced chocolate all just right. Everyone was having a good time and we enjoyed a great chat with some locals. The place is long and narrow with a choice of tables or booths. There is an option to sit outside sheltered by bistro blinds. Facilities were spotless and the vibe was so cosy and positive. It would be a place I will recommend to others and come back to anytime I am in the area. Thank you for a lovely hour to Rob and team.
